I have the zcd 200i . It takes a hellofa long time to break in . I have the one with the regulator and single volume control . once broken in the sound really opens up . I dont have a mega buck cd player,but this zcd will keep up with anything out there,  big deep soudstage very extended and detailed . I have had the rega apollo and marantz sa8001 players and this is overall better, and with the 5volts output there's no need for anymore power than what I have from my se84c+. Don't think you'll go wrong buying the zcd200i, again it takes awhile to break in , cant emphasize that enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
