Question About Sub Output on Ultra
12/26/11 at 20:28:11

Sent a note to Steve about this, but thought I would post as well.

As I am getting ready to add/build some subwoofers for my system, I wanted to ask about the Sub output on the Ultra. Given the parallelism between the 5.1 inputs and outputs on the Ultra, is it a fair assumption that the sub output is only active for the A input?

So, if I have my two-channel DAC feeding Input D, there won't be any signal coming out of the Sub output, will there?

Answer appears to be "yes." Sub out is active only when there is a .1 [sub] signal in, except, when one selects the "Mixed" option. Then, a signal is sent to the sub channel. Actually makes for a nice option.
