Taboo and 4 Ohms Speakers?
12/26/11 at 13:34:58

Hi,

Will the Taboo be able to work with speakers which have 4 Ohms impedance?

The specs in the owner's manual says "6 watts RMS into 8 ohms x 2".

So how many watts of RMS output can I expect for 4 Ohms?

I have used my TABOO with 2 kinds of 4 OHM speakers, the MG944 and the TRAPEZIUM with excellent results.

I don't know how many watts result from a 4 OHM as opposed to an 8 OHM impedance.

I also used the TABOO with 8 OHM impedance Von Schweikert monitors. In the end, the 4 OHM TRAPEZIUMS won out, because of many factors, not just impedance.
