The parts sound right. "104k" on a capacitor stands for 10 x 10 ^4 pf or 100,000 pf where 10^6 pf = 1 uf. So 100,000 pf = .1 uf . The resistors ares probably ok too. Any cheep DVM ($10) should verify they are 1k ohm. I belive they are precision wire wound resistors and are quite a bit smaller physically than what you would expect a 2w resistor to be. If you don't have a DVM you should go buy one. You really shouldn't be building a kit like this without one.
