Turntable location
04/17/11 at 06:24:03

Just moved into a new place, and am cramped for space. I set my turntable about 2ft in front of my klipschorn speaker. It is lower than the tweeter, so I'm not too worried about the vibration. My question is; is this a horrible idea to keep it in this location? I could move itc but everything would be really cramped.

Thanks ahead for any responses.

Depends on how it sounds. You will probably have to refine its position somewhat.

I would think, the second worst place for a turntable would be in front of the speakers. The first being on top of the speakers.

Just my 2 cents,

I agree, but they're corner horn speakers. It's setup about a foot underneath the tweeter horn, the rest of the speaker is solid wood. Not ideal setup agreed, but I'm stuck for space. Sounds fine so far, just wanted to know some opinions.
Thanks again
