Question, re input voltage
10/25/10 at 09:41:47

Hi, just ordered the amp.

Just reading the specs again, it says input voltage and it says "1 volt foir full output"

My DAC only output's 2 volts.  Is it going to be safe using my DAC with this amp?

Short answer is YES.
Long answer is, you don't need a preamp even if your source outputs 1 volt.
Congrats.

I can politely confirm what the prior poster stated. I have a CD player that puts out 2.5 volts and there is enough gain and volume to be extremely satisfying. The MINI TORII takes a less than 2 volt signal from my Marantz, where my phono and radio signal originates and is able to bring that up to very pleasing volume, too. If you turned it up all the way it would be way too loud. What you are buying is detail at lower volumes, and a wonderful full bloomed sound at medium and high volume.
