incandescent blue cloud in 5u4 rectifier

Lately, my 5u4 has been flickering at switch on.  Today it displayed a swirling cloud of bright bluish purple which persisted for at least five seconds.  (No, I haven't had too much coffee)  Is this a sign my 5u4 is preparing itself for vacuum tube Valhalla?  

Thanks for any insight anyone might lend.

Zul,

 I have had them do that for months and then go, I've had them do it twice and were gone.....

I would be buying a back up real soon if you don't already have one.....
