Probably no surprise, but I also have Kenny Burrell Blue Lights Volumes 1 and 2 on CD. I can't think of any of his recordings I didn't like.

One interesting observation (at least to me) - the CDs include a bonus track, which is the song "I Never Knew." A different version of that same song was the bonus track on the CD of Kenny Burrell with Coleman Hawkins, "Bluesy Burrell":

And that bonus song was my favorite on the recording, though it was not even part of the same session and had a different sax player (so its not clear how they decided to include that song), but I just thought he plays very tastefully on that song.

Kenny Burrell had an amazing career. His health is bad now. I wish him the best!

This morning is nice and cool and Fiona is feeling feisty. We bobbed along around "the block" with a flashlight even before the songbirds were talking. This is a wonderful time of year.

Ah yes, I use to ride my bike an hour or two before arriving at work start time at 6am. It was wonderful this time of the year doing such. The sound of nature waking up is one of my life's treasures.

Sound is decent enough. John Collins and Lee Young on board--which are definitely factors that made me make sure to corner a copy of this and luckily it wasn't too hard.
