I relistened to most of the Monday Michuru as I was distracted listening last night, and had made a tube change.

Now in the quiet cool of the morning I'm enjoying a Bill Evans that I had not paid enough attention to when relaed, "Bill Evans in Norway, The Kongsberg Concert," Elemental Records cd.

This one with Eddie Gomez and Marty Morell is in very good stereo sound and a nice set of performances.

I’m glad I am re-visiting this set, great music, great sound. Last disc to re-visit. I understand those who are not crazy about Woddy’s singing–I used to be among them. But I’ve fallen for his phrasing and his real jazz sensibility in vocals–to me they are closely alligned to his excellent clarinet and sax playing. And the microphones really bring out his tone very well.l.

This is an exciting new release from Japan, an SACD in lp facsimile gatefold packaging.

The sound is excellent. I still love my "Special" 24 bit by RVG lp facsimile release from Japan with its meatier sound, and the "Complete" US Capitol release from 2019. Music I have no issue having several versions of.

This uses the mastering by Kevin Gray for the Tone Poet release, and sounds a touch laid back behind the speakers and dynamic.

I have this material on other collections but these alternates really sound good together on this disc, nice mastering and I love Duke of this period.

Miles Davis "Volume 2" Blue Note Japan SACD. This sounds really good--though I have a number of good sounding editions of this. This is very clear sounding, another favorite is the fatboy 2 cd Japanese RVG edition--that has a beefy sound that suits the material well.
