These are all old scores (late 90s and up to around 2002) taken on an audio control 190 meter.

240sx 2 8" HX2 Rockfords  149db  (JBL BP1200)

Blazer 2 10" HE2 Rockfords 151db  (Punch 600W)

Blazer 2 12" MA Audio        152db  (MA 1200W)

CRX    2 10" Audio Art Reference subs   154db (Audio Art 100HC)

Saw a blazer do a 157 with 2 10" Audiobahns at a show in NC
Saw another  blazer do a 156 with 2 12" Audiobahns at same show

I also saw pictures of a volkswagen bug with 2 10" Audiobahns with the meter showing 164. I have talked to the owner and several witnesses who I believe (trust?) and they confirmed the score.

With the new TL meter I am sure there are a lot more people over at termpro who have seen or heard more current scores. I think the 160ish numbers were all measured inside the mouth of the box or right down in front of it with the thing firing right at a a wall inside the car. All the original numbers for me were taken on the passenger side of the dash.

Depending on the vehicle, power and subs, the WO is a good quality sounding box, but it can be outdone with the superpower subs of today with a more traditional build if SPL is your only goal.
Making a box this loud sound this good on the other hand is just about impossible to beat.

Good luck
