I could have easily spent a week at Stronghold. There is a lot to explore on the grounds and surrounding area then 44 hours permitted. My cousin and I both agreed on the way home that we had a good time but probably would not do it again. Since reviewing the pictures and maps Steve provided, I think that another visit next year may be happening for me at least.

When I arrived on Friday, the.sound rooms were not ideal. Steve's was the best at that time, Randy's was good, and I kind of felt sad for Bob. His seemed to have dispersion conflicts at that time. On Saturday, all the rooms seemed to be dialed in. Some dispersion panels were added to Randy's and Bob's rooms and much more absorption(people) where present in all the listening rooms. Randy's presentation excelled in vocals, Bob's in imaging, and Steve's gusty warmth. All rooms were very enjoyable.

Steve, it would be great to offer a VIP pass giving an extra day or two at the castle in exchange for setup/teardown help

I asked Chris to A(in)B(out) the Dynagrid in Bob's room but the WiFi connection started to have issues. Never got back to it. Randy's system did not have a Dynagrid and was sounding pretty darn good.

You know, I don't think the chimes are made of brass of which I stated above. The chimes are either made of steel or stainless steel. Or? He talked about his journey with them in another post but never specified the material used. I was a bit taken back when first spotting them at the castle. I assumed that they were brass from pictures of his listening room at home. Maybe a combination of the leather wrap and lighting tricked me to believe the chimes were brass. Yeah, I was interested in making a set and did a search on 3" diameter 1/8" wall brass pipe and found that it would most likely cost the same as a couple Sarah amps!

Thanks for weighing in Lon. I suspected that the Dynagrid Jr. would be clearly showing its strengths and enticing listeners. And I share your enthusiasm for the HR speakers (though mine are the earliest model and I'm sure the new ones are even better)--and I am happy they drew attention as it seems they were passed and lapped by newer speakers from Bob and Steve. They ARE impressive with many music sources.

Just saw Abhishek pictures….all I can say is wow!!  Was he using a professional camera?

Separately….what was the feeback on the A/B testing between the ZMA and the Torii MKV ?  I would love to know what people thought.
