Here I go again asking questions about Audiophile absolutes, this time touching on a somewhat contentious subject, Vibration Control.

I know that there are those who like to couple with the ground to "drain" vibration and others who like to absorb vibrations and convert them to heat.

I'm sure there are advantages to each method, but I'm wondering why it is needed at all?
In my minds eye I can see needing vibration control on a turntable or perhaps a CD player, but why a DAC or a streamer or even an amplifier?

Yes I've seen so many people describe the differences after putting some footers under their DAC, backgrounds so black that it sucks light and time into it, soundstage so great that it spreads on to infinity....
But why??
Are the electrical particles being shook out of the wires? My understanding of physics is pretty much limited to the science behind removing metal rapidly and accurately, everything else is pure magic to me.

So yeah, I'm rambling on about something that I don't understand well enough to ramble on about!  

Help me understand.
