Seems we are fortunate to have more success than medieval alchemists may have with their goals.

Agreed and guilty as charged !! I am actually shocked with myself from my recent post about the Op amp rolling. This was the first time in this hobby that I opted for a less musical piece of gear. The challenge (being an audio alchemist 😉) was to tinker with the less musical amp in an effort to chase better sound. If this was my reference system, I would have went for the more musical amp out of the gate. Cheers to all of the audio alchemists out there!! 🍻
