Ultra high end system

I don't think that I have ever shared my complete "Ultra High End " garage system in detail with all of you before.
There have been snippets of it in photos of my builds before, but I don't think I have featured the bleeding edge components being used in it.

I will start with the "front end" of  this no expense spared set up.
I'm not trying to offend anyone with my obvious show of wealth and taste. I have worked very hard for what I have.

So what you see here is my old Samsung S8 phone that wont run unless it is on the charger because it is pushing close to 9 years old.
It is hooked to a Parts Express TPS3116D2 3 channel amplifier that I paid upwards of $35.00 for. It is powered by a old Laptop power brick that I took out of the garbage at work.
The "server" and the amp are connected by a 3.5 mm cable that I found in a box of old stuff out in my shed.
The amp is contained in a what appears to be an old Tupperware sandwich container, but it is not Tupperware, because they don't sound as good as the Walmart knockoffs.
If you look closely at the container you can see the letter "C" is carefully inscribed by a Calligrapher, it is there to show that it is a "Classic" amplifier and has nothing to do with my wife's name is Carol and she didn't want someone stealing her sandwich.

Now this is the system in its full glory, notice all of the work that has been done to the room's acoustics.
The diffraction between the speakers being taken care of by diffractors cleverly disguised as a common chair covered with a very dusty oversize sweatshirt.
The cases of Diet Coke in front of the subwoofer are actually bass traps cleverly integrated into the decor.

This only goes to show you what can be achieved when you open your wallet real wide and man up fo the job!

Donnie,

The use of paper towels as absorbers are brilliant, you may want to also put them on the opposite side as well.

More pictures of the highly finished speakers with unobtanium drivers.
Though they look like ordinary Silver Flute and HiVi drivers in a cabinet, don't be fooled, there are many proprietary, perhaps even developed for the military, secrets inside of them. Like pillow fluff and wire that looks like some old speaker wire from a Sparkomatic all in one music center.
The wood itself was sourced from the Vatican game room after a recent remodel. What looks like dust is actually ashes from the Pope's janitor's pipe.
Also notice the acoustic treatment along side of the speaker, it is not a mat that I use to kneel on the hard, cold garage floor.

Now moving onto the left hand side of this phenomenal system, notice the high quality paint jobs on both the speaker and the subwoofer. The artistic way that the paint is put on layer by layer and then polished to a high sheen is truly stunning.
Also notice the speaker wire is only the best available at Lowe's ( that is under $15.00 per 100 feet) truly sublime.

I suppose that I could entertain offers on this truly one of a kind stereo system, but you had better bring multiples of $20 bills with you (at least 2).

Truthfully it really does sound pretty good for what it is, the 8" Deathbox puts out a prodigious amount of bass and my old "Rocker" speakers don't sound too bad.

Grin Wow!  You had me riveted to your narration skills…better than Ken Burns! You left me wanting more…BTW- That is the best use of Diet Coke 12-packs I have ever seen.  Certainly you don’t drink it.

We need at least 138 photos, Donnie. Just to get the point across.  [smiley=lolk.gif]
