Using new from the box 6P15P-EV tubes. They sound fine, but why would the meters be so far off though? Zen amp
Thanks.
Mike

You get anywhere Mike?? How far off??? Ive purchased a matched duet straight from Decware and had them 2 notches off from each other straight out of box.
I bought a couple bulk buys from Ukraine untested Im assuming and had 90% of them match perfect according to gauges on Decware amp.
I bought quite a few off Amazon in past that were tested with provided numbes and had most of them spot on but a couple off buy 1 or 2 notches.
I bought enough of them to rematch and get perfect pairs.

Ive not heard any unbalanced volume with the 6P15p's reading a notch or 2 off from each other.

Same here. 2 1/2 notchess off from each other.
The other set I purchased from Ukraine were in the original rusted staples closed boxes. Never opened. Seller told me any problems just keep and he'd refund. I purchased from him before so trusted. Both read perfectly at exactly the 30 mark on the amp meters. Same manu dates. Sound as they should too.
All good anyway. The Decware sent ones do sound fine too though. Same. All good!
Thanks Jack Smiley
