As much as I'd like to recommend one of the SETs, I feel like if you really want to "rock-n-roll" in your room you're going to need a push-pull amp. JMO.

I currently have the Alan Eaton 45 Monos and hear a low level hum through the Forte IVs, but it's not anything that bothers me at all and it can't be heard when music is playing or a few feet away from the speakers with nothing playing.  

I just recently paid for the UFO25 and it's on the bench.  I assume I'll have it in a few weeks or so and can report back.  

I have a pair of Heresy I in a second system. They sound great with my Decware Torii, CKC84 Select, and Denis Had Type 45. No complaints on any of them and the amp range is 1.6 - 20 watts.

With the UFO connected to the Forte it’s not a lack of volume, it’s more that the music lacks a bit of depth/body. Does that make sense?

Thx James, I hadn’t paid attention to the room size variable. That males sense. Considering the popularity of the 2 watt amp, and given how most members are probably running speakers that are high sensitivity, I was finding the proposed mismatch hard to reconcile with.

Have just been listening to the UFO with Forte IV combo and have to revisit my previous comments. With acoustic or gentler music the combo sounds amazing, very well suited to each other. On further listening I would change my description of playing rock music. The sound is perhaps not thin/lacking body as I had said, more fairly is is lean and fast (which is the whole point of the SET). You can certainly rock to it, but it’s a choice of flavour/texture. The Push Pull is meaty and full, but maybe a bit flabby in the bass end, lots of it but not with the speed and control that the UFO offers. Both are great in their own way and I can’t say which I prefer, almost a matter of mood as much style of music

I just looked up an actual measurement of the Forte and it looks closer to being a 93 db speaker.
I guess Klipsch might exaggerate a tad.

If it were me, and my recommendations usually suck, I'd go with a Torii.
You can't go wrong with a Torii, power and still has the Decware sound.

I was extremely pleased with my UFO25 and the Forte IVs right off the bat when I paired them about a year ago.  My room is approximately 28(L) x 15(W) x 9(H) and I’ve got some bass traps and other treatments I’ve added.  I listen to a little bit of everything but mostly classic rock (Zep, Floyd, Santana, CSN, ZZ Top, Steely Dan, etc.) and the UFO25 provided plenty of volume.  The combo is just as adept at jazz, classical and acoustic music as well.

It wasn’t until I added the Decware ZP3 that I had a little bit of hum at high volume.  It was never that annoying because I didn’t hear it from my listening chair.  I have since added a couple of Decware magic black boxes that have made a huge difference in many respects.

First, and I’m still feeling it out, I got one of Steve’s newest creations, the Zen Cartridge Amp.  I listen almost exclusively to vinyl so I was really excited about this box.  The first impression I got from it was a sizeable amount of gain that allowed me to lower the gain of the UFO25 and that eliminated any hum I was experiencing from the ZP3.    It’s an immediate improvement sonically but, as I have only got about 20 hours of listening to it, I need a lot more time with it.  

The other add was a ZROCK3 with anniversary mods.  Coupled with the ZCA, the resulting gain and density makes the combination of UFO25 and Forte IVs perfect (for me).  

I was listening to Wish You Were Here last night and noticed that I have the gain on the UFO25 at just about noon where I used to have it at three o’clock. I could crank this combo up and it would rattle my wife out of the living room above which would send me to the doghouse!

As others have said, your mileage may vary, but I couldn’t be happier with my Decware UFO25 and the Forte IVs!

Still way too early to give a full accounting of my impressions of the ZCA.  I’m still on the first set of batteries and have yet to try any others.  I really want hold off until put many more hours on it.  As of today, I have a little more than twenty hours on the ZCA.  Meter has barely budged from 5 volts so I’m pleased about that.

I will say that I wish it had a by-pass switch that would let me switch off of the ZCA without having to completely disconnect the box from the audio chain.  Not only would it be convenient if I wanted to just conserve battery power for a bit, but it would also give me a more instantaneous indication of the sonic contributions (or not).  But my early impression is a positive one that makes me believe it will stay in the chain, certainly for the time being.

As for the hum, I’ve talked at length with Steve about this and I have identified the weak link as my Rega turntable.  The hun was much worse before I rewired the tonearm.  As it now stands, it is barely noticeable as I am able to turn the gain down on my UFO25 considerably and regain volume with the ZCA.  So in that regard, it works exactly as Steve described in his design log.  Not only that, but there was a much greater density, increased dynamics and presence once I added the ZCA to the mix.

@Dominick I have the P3 RS which has the RB330 tonearm and Nd5 MM cart.  Rega utilizes the left channel cable for its ground and that created the hum issue I was experiencing with the ZP3.  Steve’s phono stage is incredibly sensitive and if the turntable is not well grounded hum is the result.

A forum member introduced me to Britaudio which specializes in upgrades for Rega turntables.  They offer Cardas tonearm cabling which includes a separate ground wire.  While you can buy the cabling and do it yourself, I opted to send my tonearm in and had them do it for me.  I’ve been known to goon up a cup of coffee (just ask my wife) so I let the pros do it.

While I still get a small amount of hum, it’s no where near what it used to be and is only noticeable at max gain now.

I use the Rachael (SE34I.6) with my Forte 1s (upgraded with Crites crossover and titanium diaphragm on the tweeter horn) and it is more than adequate. With a typical recording I can easily exceed 90 db at the listening position (9'). So more than loud enough for me. I listen to classic rock, classical, jazz. On occasion though a recording can be quite low. When that happens I just run it thru my Schiit Freya+ with the tube stage engaged which boosts the signal from the source by 12 db (more than doubling perceived volume to ear). But those cases have been extremely rare and mainly with some classical recordings. I have yet even begin to clip the Rachael with the Forte 1s. Previously I had the Omega SAMs setup in my main room (13'x30'). They sounded good but those little 6.5" drivers began to sound a bit shouty in that large room with volume high. The Forte 1's comfortably fill the room without breaking a sweat, plus sound so very nice!

I hear you!  I stream, but mainly to catch stuff I have not heard before.  And when I like will buy the CD or LP. If CD then also lossless rip it and store, then access with the streamer box for more convenient playback.
