Using the ZSB as a tape/processor loop?

Hello,

I have been pondering something I would like to do with my system.

Can the ZSB Switchbox be used as a processor or tape loop?

I would like to play with something like a DBX 4BX or other processor, and the ZSB seems like it could do that, with one output going into the processor and then the processor output coming back to an input on the ZSB, making it so I could switch the processor in or out of the signal chain.

The other output would be connected to a preamp that offers no tape monitor or processor loop.

The chain would be:

Turntable into ZSB.

ZSB output to a processor.

Processor output back to a ZSB input.

ZSB's other output to the preamp.

I am perplexed, one minute thinking it would work, and then next thinking I must be wrong!

Hi AntonD,
Short answer is no in the ZSB's stock form. The dual output is not switched. The inputs are connected to a single selector switch that feed the dual outputs. Two switch boxes might work for you. Best bet is talk to Steve to see if he will customize one for that purpose.

A giant thank you to you!

I really appreciate it. I might have ended up making a mess of things.
