I have one pair of true New Old Stock Amperex 7308 tubes for sale. I purchased 4 pairs of these from a reputable dealer last year and am using 2 pairs in my Modwright gear. They’ll last my lifetime so decided to let these go. I sold a pair last week to a Decware user and here is an email he sent me yesterday.
“Wow, the Amperex is great. There’s noticeably more weight, definition, and separation in recordings I know back to front. It’s maybe a little forward with my Klipsch Forte IV, but not harsh. Thanks!“
I tried NOS Mullards in my UFO (too dark and lost definition) Telefunken’s and Siemens were just a little to bright on the top end (though much nicer than the Mullards), these Amperex were just right. A complete tube and really sweetened the midrange of my UFO (and Modwright).
$125 Single tube $225 Pair
I also have some slightly used, 6SN7 tubes. I bought these as NOS and used them for a month as I tried out several pairs in my Modwright. I settled on the Sylvania’s but these are all nice too and at a fraction of the cost. Whisper quiet.
$60 for Pair of DuMont 6SN7 $60 for the pair of GE 6SN7 $80 for the pair of Baldwin 6SN7 (incredible bass in these)! $50 for the single Sylvania 6SN7
