Doug, Yes the center plastic guide pin was snapped off by prior amp owner.  I repaired it by dremeling away the jagged remaining plastic and then glued a replacement center ring fitting over the pins.  This is the best way to fix this issue.  Functions perfectly like a new tube.  See second picture showing the replacement on original post.
