Hey All!
I am building my first Zkit-1 and surprised myself during assembling the PCB, as I didn't catch this sooner.
On the ZKit-1 SET Amp Instructions dated 2020 (the latest on the site page below), the PCB on page 2 shows 33uF 450V Caps on the lower left side of the board. The latest BOM I was able to scour is from the Decware page where you purchase the ZKit-1 PCB. This also shows the Capacitors for this location as 33uF 450v. During assembly, I was getting ready to install these when I noticed by Rev 2025 PCB is silk screened for 47uF 500v. Double checking the latest Schematics from August 2025 are also showing 47uF 500v.
Sorry, can't post links to images or docs yet, but the current manual and schematic is on the ZKit-1 Page.
At first I thought this was an update on the board to not have to piggy back the 0.47uF and 0.1uF capacitors for the Anniversary Mod, but the Schematic still shows these caps for the Mod as well... so that does not appear to be the case.
I have two options; install the 33uF 500v I have in hand then apply the Mod caps as well, or hold off and order the 47UF 500v then install to the Schematic.
I do recall seeing some posters noting changing these values in the forums, so much that I assume Steve concurred and updated the Schematic and PCB to reflect this.
Thoughts on this?
Cheers!
