It’s been a while and it’s great to hear from you. I hope you are well and have a speedy recovery. Please keep us posted on your progress. I had heard through the grapevine that you were going to Decfest and I was really looking forward to going as well. Unfortunately I also had to cancel my trip due to a work conflict with my wife. To echo what Jeff said…..I also have one spot that is available at the full price to stay in the castle.

It kills me to say this, but I am also most likely also not going to attend-- just returned earlier this week from a two week international trip including 5 different countries and 7 different airports. It seems both physically and mentally daunting to get on another flight so soon. That said, I will assess for another day and make up my mind tomorrow.

I will also have a bunk to give up that I had booked last year.

Good to hear from you Bob (and appreciate the sentiment). I know I'm gong to have major FOMO this weekend. It's a confluence of events preventing me from joining--rest assured, I didn't make the decision lightly.

That said--I hope all of you folks attending have a great time and will look forward to seeing pictures and write-ups.

The real cost of Decfest…

Melodramatic? Maybe. I had so much fun. Cost me way more than the $175 entry fee as I had, no, wanted, to order the Dynagrid Jr after hearing it. Of course I have to order two for the Torii, and maybe a 3rd for the ZP3.

I drove out from NH. Everywhere I stopped the people were so nice. Great change of pace from the Northeast. I make it a point to wish everyone a good day and generally get no response. Everyone along the route beat me to it.

This stayed the same at the Fest. Amazed at how so many of us can get together and all get along and appreciate each others musical selections. I love finding new material to listen to.

And a big thank you to Devon and Steve as well as the entire supporting crew. A lot of work goes in to this event. Way more than they recover in the small fee paid to attend.

Can’t wait for the DG Jr’s to arrive.
