JBZ. Not surprising results from your searches, and it does seem to be a good idea to theorize on, and explore mineral/electrical interaction yourself. For me, especially in these energetic areas that are challenging to suss out with our general knowledge and measuring tools, I have come to avoiding working much on seeking finite explanations. More, depending on being stimulated by insights from others who sound to me like their system/rooms are revealing, and who have experienced benefits that make sense... then listening is the reliable "measure" for me.
And not surprising to those of you who know me, this led me into an exploration I hope might be useful for some anyway.
I figure energy and how it moves and interacts is much more subtle, complex, and "alive" than most of us can imagine... and along with "physical" things also being substantially composed of energy, energetic interactivity is a lot to get a handle on. Though it tends to present in patterns, as the "butterfly effect" shows, energy is interactive and transformative.... moment to moment, all things and activities effecting and altering all things and activities. Finally, isn't this what we experience as our own complex system of body/mind/spirit, interacts with our also complex music as revealed by the complexes of our system/rooms.
As to the naysayers, I figure linear thought we are trained to believe as "factual," in an ever-transformative world, is necessarily limited and limiting, often making attaching to its conclusions self-defeating. The linear, being based in what I call "word time," is useful for sure, but too slow and linear to be inclusive of all that is at play. And so much of our cultured beliefs of "reality" having been based on linear "science based" ideologies/beliefs, "science" is too often devoted to proving something more so than discovering something... inadvertently making static that which cannot really be fully static. Yet culturally, we are still left imagining that nothing is real if not linearly "proven."
So to me, attaching to static "facts," in a world where everything is changing, too often limits our awareness and enjoyment of our own innately evolving perception, discernment, insights and "knowledge." Double edged toward self-defeat, a primary aspect of transformation being creation (or the creative), if beliefs make us think we are done, our creative interest in exploration and discovery becomes limited...which imposes limits on our refinement and potential for deeper musical experiences. And really, to linearly examine interactive transformative overlays of complex systems would take forever.
So to me, great science begins with creative exploration and "intuition," and linear thought can help stimulate it, and/or help us to understand and notice realizations and insights that often rise out of our collective "consciousness."
In its broadest sense, I think of collective "consciousness" as an overlay of all energetic information at once...something we all are a part of, so we all participate in it, and interact with it. Even with limitations imposed by culture's patterns of trying to make too much too static, with luck and practice, we can access our insightful/connected side to various degrees.
Especially with natural feeling harmonics, and system/rooms that are resolving and balanced enough to suck us into the musical experience, "intellect" and cultural conditioning tend to relax, awakening deepening potential for awe in the experience of the music. The conditioned mind freer, our more fluid and broader collective nature is excited, enlivening deeper awareness and discernment, which supports refinement of decisions toward making things even realer, more seductive. Once activated, the process can literally "enlighten us," neurological channels opening and lighting up, potentially awakening experiences and realizations of things we don't yet "know." Joining in the creative.... and creation in its purer form being the making of something truly new... isn't this what happens with every adjustment we make in our system/rooms, the complex becoming something it has not been... a new beginning.
As so many of us here experience, a great audio setup can do just this, enliven the processes of seeking natural and real feeling musical experiences that can awaken and enlighten our deeper nature.... freeing and engulfing enough for new experiences and insights into the beauty to help us feel good. I have found the right balances and amounts of minerals in the right places can help this!
