Sub with Mini Torii? (Read 3773 times)

From what I understand, running a sub with an MT is very easy due to the "preamp out" on each channel. I don't personally run one with mine as I have it running through vintage 3-ways that are of good efficiency and bass. I don't feel I am missing anything.

If you do feel you are missing something, you may want to order a sub from somewhere that does free returns. That way you can try it and know for sure what you think. As far as getting one for your $600 budget, I am not sure. I have heard good things about REL and SVS but can't give advice beyond that.

It does make a difference with my standmount Ref3A de Capos although i'm using it at a pretty low volume but it rounds out the sound. Never should have listened to those Devore O/96s at Aural HiFi in Denver lol

Reply #6 - 03/30/24 at 23:51:02 I run my Torii MKIV 25th and my SE84C+ 25th mono’s with a sub through the RCA outputs. I would recommend to set the sub crossover just below the frequency range of your speakers, and play with the volume level so as not to overpower your main speakers. Dom
