ZP3 into a ZROCK2 (Read 2025 times)

When you add in the bypass switch it seems like a perfect compliment since it can be bypassed or adjusted on the fly for particular albums. [smiley=icqlite20.png]

Posts: 1165	Re: ZP3 into a ZROCK2 Reply #2 - 08/13/23 at 16:11:28 I don’t own a ZP3, but my Rega phono preamp goes into my ZROCK2 before it goes into my CSP2+ . Having the bypass switch is key…it gives you the flexibility to tailor the sound to your liking and make a comparison to the original recording. Some albums need a bit more adjustment than others in the mid bass/bass region. Dom

I use a ZSB to connect my ZP3 and DAC to the ZR2. The ZSB allows me to switch between sources. IMO, the ZR2 allows me to refine the bass and sound based on genre, recording quality, etc. The ZR2 is another tool used in conjunction with gain on the CSP3 to dial in SQ. The ZR2 can also be used as a volume control. The ZR2 may be exactly what you need

My vinyl rig, CD, or PC streaming Roon goes into my ZROCK2 first before it hits my CSP+ and then into my SE84C+25th monos. Dom

This is the last piece of gear I need to complete my current system. So, what are some alternatives? Another phono pre-amp while I wait? Maybe try solid state? Roll some tubes? If so, which tubes? What to do!?
