I am offering for sale a custom pair of HR-1 speakers that have the update which among other things raises the sensitivity by about one point. These speakers have beautiful hardwood Padauk tops and bases. The speaker body is finished in white. They are cosmetically excellent and work perfect. I must offer them to someone who can make good use of them as I have switched to open baffles.

I feel blessed to have been able to seize this great opportunity. I have decided to go in a new path with the Torii amp and these speakers. The single driver & flea watt SEP amp combo didn’t do it enough for me in the final analysis. I won’t be doing that again.

With a small room that I worked to transform to something far more acoustically amenable to a more bold yet nuanced system (one can yell in my listening room or clap as hard as one can with NO apparent echo at all), I am finally ready to make this pathway happen.

I was speaking with Bob Ziegler today (Turning Point Audio), my first conversation with the fine gentleman, and among many things was happy to find out the crossovers were updated by him to feature all Mundorf and Clarity caps. Very nice. Also the upward facing driver at the tops was replaced with a slightly larger 9” driver…both constituted a $650 upgrade.
