Wow! My Zen Select became a bass machine!!!...

Hello guys,

I was going through my tube bin and came across a big, beasty power tube.
It's the "INDUSTRO" 5R4 GY, MADE IN THE USA!!!

I wasn't sure if it was compatible with my 2002 Zen Select(black, inputs front and back, volume pot, rear right corner)...

I removed my Zenith 5U4G, Made in USA which sounds pretty good, more organic, more quiet and more real than the stock one(chinese) and inserted the Industro and prayed that nothing bad would happen...

I turned it on very very cautiously and even a little scared and to my surprise, no explosion or arching or fire works...I guess is too early yet. It's not July 4th yet... haha

I let it warm up for half hour and turned it up to see how it sounds and I was like: "what the hell, dude? My little 2 watt Zenny is a bass machine?"
That was a big surprise to say the least. Music sounds more dense, more meaty, more powerful, more authoritative, more like a powerful beast...

Normally, I like NOS 5U4G in the Zen Select and amperex bugle boy for input. Stock output tubes.

This little 2 watter turned into a bass and impactful bad ass machine that I am shaking my head in disbelief...

Have any of you tried this beasty tube?

let's see...
