Lii F15 in rear loaded horn

I am curious if anyone has built a horn or other box (like the one offered up on the Lii site) for the Lii audio F15 driver.

The open baffles are awesome, but could they potentially sound even better?

The Lii Audio F15 drivers are designed for an open baffle. The Crystal 10's and Silver 10's, while sound great in a baffle, benefit from full range driver cabinets that are offered from Lii Audio. The 10's bass response benefits from a large, ported cabinet.

Thanks for the response HK, and thanks for the baffles!

On the Lii audio website they have plans for the f15 on the page.  I was just curious if anyone has tried this or a similar box for the drivers.

I keep looking at all of their plans and my little brain starts plotting....

After I finish my current project I was thinking about building something expensive....

Same!  It seems like there hasn't been much experimentation for these drivers.

Just got my OB's setup last night and they are sounding pretty alright even during break-in.  My thought of upgrading my 2 watt zen triode to the ZMA or Tori just went out the window, haha!

I will for sure make a few different boxes/stands for these speakers and report back in time.

Let me know if you start a project Donnie!

You can read here about issues with such a high qts driver in a box, starting with reply #4.
