HR-1s in Near-field?

Anyone have experience with the HR-1s in a near-field or mid-field listening position?

Been itching to jump in the HR-1 water as it resolves some of the weaknesses of the ERRx.
A small-to-mid-sized bedroom is opening up as a dedicated office and listening room.

I listen mid-field in my main system. Browbeaten into it by my wife, it's not my first choice.

They work well, though their amazing sound-staging is a bit compromised in smaller spaces and configuratons. I find them to be all that they can be in my larger room in my other audio and visual system.

There’s a lot of choices out there, but Decware’s HR-1 is still a fabulous speaker. It’s radial design really makes it adaptable to different rooms. Our speakers are in the living room but the sound is pretty decent in the kitchen. Ziggy’s wood working is second to none! I’m still thrilled with this speaker.
