Hi there!  This seemed the most appropriate sub to post this.  I know next to nothing about speaker design, aside from that cabinet design works in tandem with driver design.  I'm wondering if anyone would know whether it would be worth putting some Fast-5s into some old bookshelf cabs I got back in the 90s.

Given the rave reviews about Lii I'm curious to give them a try, and I've got these cabs just sitting in the attic.  But if it's likely that the cabs would sound better with their original/intended drivers than the more expensive Lii's, I'd prefer to just recone them for $10 than spend $150 on less-than-ideal "upgrades".
