Decware P1324 Diffuser
05/01/20 at 16:49:19

I just finished installing the P1324 Quadradic Diffusor that Decware sells. This is the same diffuser that Steve uses extensively in the listening room at the Mothership. I installed them on the front wall as I already have diffusers on the back wall. They added another dimension to the sound for sure. One note worthy of comment is that Dan who makes them for Decware was an absolute joy to deal with. He supplied photo's as the job progressed and thorough installation instructions. He answered every question completely and quickly. It could not have been a better experience and they are a work of art.

Looks good Showme. Did you cover the 1324's with burlap? What is the side wall construction? I'm in the planning stage of building forty 1312's for front, side, and rear reflections and using rock wool covered with burlap as absorption at the ceiling reflection. Also, constructing rear corner bass traps burlap covered rock wool. Trying to decide on the finish-keep it natural or covering like you did. Would be a lot easier to cover not worrying about how well the different wood types would take a finish.
Cheers!
John

The Decware diffusers are above the rack. The rest of the room treatment is GIK stuff. Corner bass traps and acoustic panels. The rear wall has a GIK 3-D diffusers. The fabric covering is Guildord of Maine acoustic fabric

Thanks Greg. The flexible light is from IKEA. Comes in two or three colors. It’s real cheap, works great and I have several for different uses.

These look great! I’ve been thinking about trying to incorporate some diffusers in my listening space - will have to give these a serious look.
