I purchase songs from iTunes for my iPod to play at work. just loaded the Catalina OS on my laptop. Now when I go to iTunes and search for an artist it wants me to join Apple Music. can't find a way out of that loop.  No thanks. click on the iTunes Store and it gives me New Music etc but no search. the only option seems what they want to sell you. Has any body found out a work around.  getting really frustrated with these @#$^(^$#@!.
As a side note, when I downloaded Catalina, I got an adware virus along with it. Spent hours trying to get rid of the popup. Eventually spent ^) bucks for a virus cleaner..Clean up your act Apple
