What does Qobuz do to music?

Hello everyone,

So I've recently moved from Tidal to Qobuz after listening to few songs and noticing that Qobuz sounded better for some reason. Today while listening through Roon I listened to I'm So Afraid by Fleetwood Mac with Qobuz as the source and noticed that the song sounded a little off. So I listened to the same song from a local file (same resolution as Qobuz) and the song sounded just as I remember. On Qobuz the songs didn't sound bad but somehow I felt like I could hear the drum stick, instead of the drum beat, and I could hear the strings of the bass but the bass didn't sound as full. So what exactly is happening with Qobuz?

Thank you!

Tony,

What I was told by "Telcom" engineers is that the WWW was never intended to stream audio or video.

What enables data to be transmitted includes something known as "packet loss".

I think that this loss accounts for part of the sound quality difference.
