Schiit - Bifrost multibit

My set up is analog first. Since my purchase of the SE84UFO25 spinning CD's is just not good enough. I knew I needed to upgrade and get closer to my vinyl experience. (I've never owned a DAC)
First, need a good DAC within my budget (under $600) and preferably "Made in USA" - just one of the reasons I went down the Decware road!
So, have spent the last few months researching and finally decided to go with the Bifrost-Multibit. I hit the Schiit site at just the right time and bought a B-stock for $499...It was an immediate and awesome improvement over just using my current CD player. Although it is still not quite as good as my vinyl playback, it is so much closer and is a much more satisfying listen. Glad I finally went down the DAC upgrade path.
Soundstage width depth, details extracted are all greatly improved, bass bigger, tighter...basically all aspects of playback are much improved. I was not expecting this degree of improvement - but, I'm not complaining!

The Bifrost (non-multi-bit) was the first "expensive" DAC I bought.  Still sounds good.  I should upgrade it to the multi-bit.

I, too bought a Schiit Modi Multibit DAC. I did an A/B comparison between the onboard DAC in my Onkyo changer and the Schiit. No doubt the Schiit was way better sounding signal. I bought mine B stock, too.
