New chicken head volume knob

I just got a new cream colored chicken head volume knob for my SE84UFO.  It is replacing a black chicken head knob that is hard to see against the black body of the amp. The new knob has a small screw on the side that holds it in place.  The old one is solid with no screw.  Does anyone know how to take the old knob off?

If you search the forum you should find a "how to". . . I believe it involves taking a butter knife or a similar device underneath the knob and gently pushing and pulling the knob up and off, it's press-fit onto the shaft.
