No downside if not connected. It’s a shunt open circuit, has no impact on the amp whatsoever.

Ok, guess I'll officially hijack the thread. Included are pictures of the amp. The pictures don't do the walnut base justice.

Specs are:
SE34i.4 - purchased in late 2014 from Decware (original owner).
Upgraded in 2017 with UFO transformers, so I believe this is now identical to new UFO versions of this amp being produced.

One input, RCA variable outputs, UFO transformers with impedance switches, Jupiter beeswax caps, dual stepped attenuator volume controls.

Asking $1250 plus shipping, unless I've already sent a PM to you.
I love this amp, but decided with my 97.5 dB efficient speakers to try the Zen amp instead. Hopefully it will be a good decision.
