What I received was not the right adaptor, this one is for wiring in the right pin configuration, something I won't be doing . . . Sorry. At the moment I have four type 80 tubes of different sorts. . . and can't try them out!

There's come nice ones Cary offers, but they have the same sort of time frame for delivery so they may be shipping from China as well.

Wow. the slow boat from China came to town pretty quickly!

Of course the mail arrived while I was making dinner and half an hour before my wife came home so I only got to get about twenty minutes with the old Arcturus Type 80 rectifier I have been wanting to try (I have three others, a pair of smaller RCAs and a larger older RCA) and boy did it sound really good warming up in the Taboo. Looking forward to some listening tomorrow.
