A little over a year ago, I had the unit serviced and the laser replaced (it's a commonly used Sony laser still in production) by Rolland at Hi-Tech Audio in Gresham, OR (just outside Portland). If you have repairs needed on audio, give him a try - he's an authorized Carver Audio repair guy. Anyway, I've had the unit for 7-8 years now, and it's time to find it a new home. I'm asking $750.
