Just thinking here...has anyone ever used concrete backer board on the flat surfaces of an enclosure?  
Taking into account displacement just lining the vertical surfaces of the box.

could you elaborate on why would you want to do such a thing?  exposed concrete backer board inside a speaker cabinet would be "very" reflective......
