Rectifier tubes in Zp3 and SE84CKC
01/27/17 at 16:31:47

Hi, fancy trying out some tube rolling and want to know if the following tubes are ok to use. CV 378 (Mullards I think) and a Philips 5R4GYS
I get a bit confused with all the different codes.
If it is ok should I replace the rectifier in the Zp3 first or the Se84 to do a proper evaluation rather than both at the same time?
Many thanks in advance.
Nigel

Nigel- my suggestion would be to only change one tube at a time, so you have a clear idea of the impact of that change. Start with the ZP3, post your findings when you have time. Happy listening (and tube rolling). Chris
