Thanks for posting article.

I agree with everything he wrote except two things :

- The part about musical "tastes" should say "preferences"  Music is about hearing or listening, not eating.

- The part about some speakers benefiting from "sympathetic resonances"  No, a good speaker cabinet should be inert and broadcast only, not resonate.  Same with room treatment, inert walls and cancelling resonance is the goal.  Precise and controlled sympathetic resonances are only achieved through direct coupled creations such as the passive drivers on the HDT's. They are not made of wood. The rest of the cabinet is as inert as it possibly can be and that is the goal when dealing with wood.

I can't take any list like that seriously when they only mention the room itself in passing, and zero mention of room treatment.

At least the slice of pie for cables, and stands is appropriately low.  ;)
