Premium guitar jacks and cord jacks?
12/09/16 at 18:13:45

Greetings everyone.

I recently upgraded my guitar output jack and cord jacks to Switchcraft :

http://nextgenguitars.ca/products/switchcraft-11-1-4-mono-jack.html

http://nextgenguitars.ca/products/switchcraft-280-1-4-mono-straight-plug.html

I don't like the connections and was wondering if anybody had a premium brand to recommend for the guitar output jack and cord jacks?

Thanks!  :)

Corey

I guess you might need to elaborate on what you mean by "don't like"...?  the connectors don't have enough mass for you, aren't gold plated, what's the issue?
I see at parts express that switchcraft has a new high current TS jack rated at 15 amps continuous

does this look better?

I guess a person could go crazy over the jacks on a guitar like they do with audio.  If I replace anything that came stock I use Dimarzio parts.  Otherwise, I use what is stock.  Or, I use Gibson parts with Gibson and Fender with Fender.

Switchcraft pretty are *the* jacks used on guitars and amps. I'm sure I've seen small batches of premium 1/4" jacks before, but most were for headphones. Maybe start there.
