Speaker Stands

Hi all.

Opinions wanted: I'm wondering what kind of surface dimensions would be optimal for speaker stands when it comes to Traps.  They have those unique down-firing slots at the bottom, so obviously a flat surface is a must.  Question is, would extra surface area surrounding the speaker bases impact the sound quality?

I'd like to get stands only as wide as the bases, but not if they're going to detract from the sound in any way.

False face,

The minimum width would be 1" wider than the speaker itself. Perfect and any more not needed would be 2" wider than the speaker.

Height I would recommend around 20"-22" .
