Loud Popping

Anyone have some troubleshooting tips here...

I have a TD-150 Mk III Turn Table, Audio Research PH3 Phono Pre, and a Decware Mini Torii.

I moved to a new room and started hearing some loud pops occasionally, almost like a static discharge. When I moved I also added in the TD-150 Turntable. That said I ran a ground wire from the chassis to the ground plug (in addition to the cartridge group wire). That has helped a little but the static discharge is still happening.

I purchased a Tripp Lite Hospital Grade Isolation Transformer, while this mades the background inky black, it didnt fix the static discharge issues I am having.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks,
Ron

A ground loop would make a buzz/hum

sound like a switch pop when a swithced is turned on?

It was like a switch popping... that said I figured it out!

Bad 0C2 tube. Popped when I tapped it gently.
Replaced and now I have a completely silent amp again!

Man I love my Decware MT!
