Zen compatiblilty with Magnaplanar speakers

Anyone driving Maggies with the Zen Torii III?  I've heard these need a good amount of power to drive them and curious of how they sound. Specifically 1.7's.

i tried mine with a good friend's accoustats, true e-stat speakers and within its range, which was limited, it was sublime.  that was with ell-34 tubes, i have since tried kt66 and it is much more muscular sounding, but have not been back to my buddy's house to try again.
