Unable to set USB above 48k - OSX
06/09/13 at 20:53:46

Hi folks,

I'm having an issue getting above 48k on my iMac 27 (mid2010) running Mountain Lion OSX. My Decware brand ZDAC-1 DAC has a Cirrus Logic CS4398 DSP which can do 192/24 bit but no aloha with USB - optical out works to 96/24 though but not in Integer mode running Audirvana 1.51. Anybody have a driver that can enable this or any suggestions ? Steve  said that DSP can be a little fussy, but didn't have a driver for it.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I run a DAC off my Mac Mini.  I use software (Amarra Hifi) that switches the sample rate.  In your Mac's audio midi settings you'll need to select your DAC for output too.  I hope that helps.

In my case (Itunes and Decibel software) I couldn't get above 48 neither. Are you getting 24/96 with Amarra in your Mac Mini through the DAC's USB input?

Thanks

I'm getting support for everything up to 192k so far.  I've even played DSD files using Audirvana.  Make sure the files you're trying to play are on your computer, and not in the cloud.  That was a problem for me at first.
