I think your next project should be to get this stuff on an awesome rack. I like the guitars in the corner, and any room with a poster of Jimi is a good one!

Outer banks? I'm in the foothills....

Those are maple bases....While I can't do it all the time (I try) those are curly maple bases. Every time I go for material, I always look at the maple to see if there is any curly in the unit. I usually find at least some curly and take it with me. Pay the same price as plain maple so why not.

Thanks all & Zygi the finish is so tactile to the feel.
They remind me of a `quilted` maple, if there is such a wood.
I wont ask you how or what protective coatings you apply but
the depth and smoothness is just so.
Now you`ve got me looking at them from different angles to
see the `quilts` catch the light.

A good platform or rack is in the pipeline. Takes a bit of thinking
about.
