I think I have the answer to this but wanted to post the predicament here and see if someone can perhaps come up with the solution. Currently I use the Creek volume control passive (obh10) which is pretty straight forward.. line in/line out--interfaced between the Csp2 & my Taboo. works great--gives me remote volume control in br system. I bought a OBH22 as it has tape in/out and want to move the Nak into the br. I am going to try and upload a pic of the OBH22 --suffice to say. it has line out, tape in/out, and 2 line level source inputs. Obviously , I can use this directly with the Taboo but I dont want to eschew the Csp2. And--heres my take on it--- I cant interface the OBH22 with the CSP2 because it does not have a line in except for the line level source inputs and dont think those will work due to impedance issues. And even if I could somehow utilize the OBH22 it would have to be in conjunction with the OBH10---thats 2 passives hooked up to the CPS2 !

Dont want to go there. I'm thinking my alternative is to send in the CPS2 to Steve and have it retrofitted to have tape in/out jacks. Does any of this make sense?

Even if the OBH22 had a line in I dont know how that would work with all the sources plugged into the OBH22-- like would the gain still be generated by the pre? As it is now ---to be clear-- the 2 sources in this system are plugged directly into the CSP2 taps and as mentioned a line out goes to the passive and line out from passive goes to the Taboo. This system is mated to the MG944's nice synergy. In the system is a Rotel transport RD980 (Rotel's attempt back in the day to compete with big guys for a decent buck) Shrek D2 , The other Source is a Sony ST-J75 tuner gone through by Mark @Absolute Sound labs as a kind gesture and PR for his work. The sony is renowned for its very low noise floor. What is really important to note is I fly FM only because I have rooftop rotatable antenna which is mandatory to optimize sonics.

Hooking up components is not my strong suit. No matter how much I read up on the stuff I forget soon what I read. Steve suggested the passive arrangement I am using now. Should have checked further before I bought this OBH22. It will probably be up for sale. Looks like new.
