That totally makes sense to me. The Integrated JUST worked as the amplifier in my main system, but with some source components and some source material I felt it was giving all it could give and it could use a little help. With a good size room to fill and many speaker models the Torii offers more grunt and headroom, and is the kind of amp that you know you can keep forever if you want to. The Integrated may actually sound a tiny bit better with some material, and if you have the room and speakers that don't tax it and give it some headroom, there's no reason not to keep that one forever. But I personally found myself needing more and more power until the Torii came my way. Now I feel as if I can sit tight and listen keenly and enjoy myself for years and years to come.
