Ok here we go (probably again)

I am using mostly apple lossless for inferior stuff, Aiff for the stuff that is special or .. intricate in some way, or known to be a superior quality recording.

Is there a preferred import setting or method?

Currently I think I can hear a slight difference between Apple lossless and AIFF files on the few songs I have tried

What got me going on this was the ZOB stereo samples page. About half those links are dead but the ones that worked were 24 bit and sounded outstanding. So I got a program called Max to generate 24 bit aiff rips. Nice App. Very fast rips as well

Any thoughts?
