Sovtek EL34 vs. Svetlana's (Read 7900 times)

Rollin Verified Member Offline Posts: 49 Iowa	Sovtek EL34 vs. Svetlana's 08/10/11 at 05:31:05 My Torii came from the previous owner with Sovtek EL34's, but was upgraded with the Hazen mod which I understand is designed for the "Winged C" (Svetlana) SED Russian EL34's - wondering what I will hear different if I change out the tubes to the Svetlana's? Also, out of curiosity how many of the original Torii's were produced?

The SED Winged C is a fine tube, and may perhaps sound better than the Sovteks, but it will only because it is a better tube itself for that circuit, not because the Hazen Grid mod was designed for it.
